This policy covers the website at barrettslagle.dev and the private scheduling assistant operated by Barrett Slagle (referred to below as “the assistant”), which arranges meetings on his behalf.

The assistant and Google user data
The assistant is a private tool with a single user. It is not offered to the public and has no sign-up. It uses Google APIs under one scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events— to create and update calendar events for meetings that have already been agreed by email.
What it does with that access. It creates a calendar event for an agreed meeting time, adds the agreed participants, and updates or removes events it created itself. It does not read, modify or delete events it did not create, beyond checking whether a proposed time is already occupied.
What it does not do. It does not access Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any Google service other than Calendar. It does not use Google user data for advertising, for training machine-learning models, for profiling, or for any purpose unrelated to arranging the meeting in question. Google user data is never sold, rented, or transferred to third parties.
Information the assistant handles
- Email addresses and names of people arranging a meeting
- Proposed and agreed meeting times, durations, locations and joining links
- The text of scheduling correspondence, for the purpose of arranging the meeting
Storage and retention
Assistant data is stored locally on hardware controlled by Barrett Slagle and in an encrypted private backup. Access credentials are held on that machine and are not shared. Scheduling records are retained while they remain useful for arranging and confirming meetings, and are deleted on request.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with the person you are being scheduled with, to the extent needed to arrange the meeting — typically your name, email address, and the agreed time.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct or delete information we hold about you by writing to barretts.assistant@gmail.com. Google account access granted to the assistant can be revoked at any time from Google Account permissions.
This website
This site is static and sets no cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records standard server request logs for security and reliability. We do not use website data to build advertising profiles and we run no analytics or tracking.

We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the date above.
